- Warped - Lengths of wood that have been twisted out of shape by uneven shrinkage, or extreme changes in temperature.
- Waste Pipe - A pipe which carries waste water away from a bath, or sink.
- Weather-boarding - Horizontal, overlapping planks of timber, fixed to an internal framework to form the outside wall of a building.
- Welding A means of fastening metals by applying heat until the pieces fuse together.
- Wet Rot - Decay in timber due to water saturation and inadequate ventilation.
- Wrecking Bar - A long steel bar used to lever up floorboards. It has a flat chisel point at one end and a curved claw on the other.
